I found Guardian plumbers by accident and consider it a very happy accident. I live in an older home that sometimes has problems. Turns out this time it was the Roman style tub in the main bedroom. Seems when the builder installed the tub an access panel should have been included so that the plumbing can be accessed. The builder "forgot" to do that. So the first day Mike came in and gave me an estimate and said he could have a crew in here the next day to fix it and it would be done in a matter of hours. What now? Plumbers never work that fast! Guardian does! Also it was pouring rain both days Guardian had plumbers here and they wore shoe coverings over their boots to keep the wood floors clean. But wait there is more! The day the dripping tub faucet was fixed, Mike came back out to the house because Miguel, one of the plumbers who did the work, reported the water pressure was high and Mike wanted to make sure that was right because the day before when he checked it it had been fine. Turns out it was fine but Mike wanted to double check. He did this from the outside faucets in the pouring rain! It is rare when that high of level of customer service exists. Guardian has earned my business and I will refer them to anyone who asks.

From everyday repairs to slab leaks, drains, and sewer lines, Guardian Plumbers, Heating, Air & Electrical handles plumbing for Escondido homes and businesses, and the technician will explain what your home needs.
A leak under the kitchen sink, a toilet that rocks or seeps at the base, or a hose bib that won’t shut off is an everyday plumbing repair for us. We also repair fixtures, valves, and supply lines, and we handle the plumbing side of a kitchen or bath remodel. Small jobs are welcome, too.
On a repair visit, our technician finds the cause and fixes what’s broken. If something else will need attention soon, you’ll hear about it, without any pressure to do it today.
A slab leak is a leak in a water line under your home’s concrete foundation. You usually won’t see the water, so it’s worth calling at the first signs:
Before anyone opens a floor, we confirm the leak is under the slab, since a toilet or an appliance can mimic one. If that’s what we find, we’ll say so. When it is a slab leak, pressure testing and electronic leak detection narrow down the spot.
Once we’ve found it, you’ll get a price for each option that fits your house, and financing is available if you qualify:

Call About a Possible Slab Leak
Shower draining slowly, or the kitchen sink backing up? Most clogs come from hair, grease, or roots in the line, and our Escondido drain cleaning clears them with the right tool. If the same drain keeps backing up after it’s been snaked, a camera check shows whether the pipe itself is the problem.
Grease, mineral scale, and tree roots can narrow a drain line until a snake only clears a path through the middle. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to clean the pipe back to its full width, and we check the line’s condition before we start.
Backups in the lowest drain in the house, a sewage smell outside, or a soggy patch over the line can mean the sewer pipe is cracked, sagging, or full of roots. Many older homes around Escondido still have clay or cast iron sewer lines.
A camera inspection shows exactly where the trouble is, and you’ll see the footage, too. From there, sewer repair might mean fixing one section, lining the old pipe from the inside, or replacing the line.
No hot water, or a tank that rumbles or leaks at the base? We repair and replace water heaters and install tankless water heaters, and we’re certified to install Navien and Rinnai units. A repair can often keep a tank going for a few more years.
Low pressure throughout the house, or a meter that keeps moving when nothing’s running, can point to the main water line between the meter and your home. We handle water line repair and replacement, and we service septic tank plumbing for homes that aren’t on the city sewer.
Our technicians take the time to show you what they found and tell you what can wait and what can’t. They’ll never push a replacement you don’t need.

Guardian also handles heating, air conditioning, and electrical work in Escondido.
Many Escondido homes have stood for decades, and we work in all of them, from the Old Escondido Historic District and North Broadway to Midway and Felicita.

Older pipes wear out, and Escondido’s water is hard on them, too. The city’s 2025 water quality report measured 210 to 230 mg/L of hardness in its treated water, which the USGS classifies as very hard. Those minerals settle in water heaters, build up inside older pipes, and leave scale on fixtures.
A few habits that help protect your plumbing in Escondido:
Yes. We cover the whole city, on both sides of the 15 and along the 78, plus Del Dios, Elfin Forest, and Harmony Grove.
Yes. A dripping faucet, a running toilet, or a shutoff valve that sticks is worth a call, and we’re glad to take care of it. A small leak is easier to fix now than the damage it can cause later.
If water is spreading, shut off the main water valve to the house. If it isn’t, cut back on water use and move rugs and furniture off any damp spots. Then call us at (951) 678-3275 and tell the office what you’re seeing. You don’t need to know the cause before you call.
The estimate is free. The price of a repair depends on what’s causing the problem and how hard it is to reach, so the technician prices each option at your home before starting.
The office takes down what’s going on and gets you on the schedule. At your home, the technician listens first, then finds the cause and talks you through it. Nothing gets done until you say so.
