Same-Day Service Available.
No Surprises.
Sewage coming up through a drain is upsetting, and we know it’s even harder when you don’t know why. Guardian Plumbers, Heating, Air & Electrical repairs sewer lines all over Murrieta, and our office is right here in town on Jefferson Avenue.
If the line is stopped up, we’ll get it flowing first. Then the camera goes in, and you’ll see what we see before we recommend anything. Some lines only need a good cleaning, and others need a liner or new pipe. Either way, you’ll hear it in plain language from someone you can trust.
Same-day service is usually available, 7 days a week.
Is it just the kitchen sink? Then our Murrieta drain service is the place to start. When a backup travels from one fixture to the next, the trouble is usually past the drains, in the pipe that carries everything from your house out to the street. Call us immediately if you’re seeing:
While you wait for us, skip the laundry and the dishwasher and keep showers short, so less water is pushing against the blockage.
Not every Murrieta home is on public sewer. If yours drains to a septic tank, we handle septic plumbing too.
From the cleanout, our technician sends a waterproof camera down the line, and at Guardian, you’re welcome to watch the screen right alongside them. The footage can show roots, cracks, grease, and sagging sections.
The camera also shows how far out each problem is. In Murrieta, that matters because, past your property line, the pipe may be the water district’s to fix.
Once we’ve seen inside your line, we’ll walk you through which of these repairs makes sense. Two of them are trenchless, so your yard may not need to be dug up at all.
When the pipe itself is in good shape, cutting out the roots and clearing the blockage may be all it needs, and we’ll tell you so. Hydro jetting removes grease and heavy buildup by using high-pressure water to wash the whole pipe wall, not just open a hole through the clog.
Perma-lining puts a new pipe wall inside the old one. We install it through small access points, so your lawn, driveway, and walkway can usually stay where they are.
Pipe bursting replaces the whole run without a trench. A bursting head splits the old pipe while the new one follows right behind it, and we only need a pit at the house end and one at the far end.
Some repairs still need a shovel, most often a collapsed section or a sag deep enough that waste sits in it. Before anyone digs, we’ll mark the spot with you and talk through what’s in the way, whether that’s a planter, a path, or a slab.
“Chase and Art were fantastic at explaining the process and my options. The amount of work needed was extensive (requiring digging and rerouting drainage pipes).” —Ray B.

Murrieta doesn’t have a single sewer provider. Four water districts run the city’s public sewer lines, and each handles the stretch between your property line and the sewer main under the street its own way:
| Your district | Past your property line |
|---|---|
| Rancho California Water District | Rancho Water’s to own and maintain, from the main up to the back of the sidewalk. |
| Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) | Clearing roots and grease is on you. EMWD handles repairs, unless the district traces the damage to roots or debris from your property.* |
| Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District | The owner’s responsibility, right up to where it joins the public main. |
| Western Municipal Water District | Check with Western before any work on this stretch. |
*On EMWD sewer, if the public main runs through a back or side yard instead of the street, the entire line from your house to the main is yours.
Not sure which district serves your street? The City’s utility contact sheet lists all four with their phone numbers, so you can call yours to confirm.
If you’d like to talk it over at home first, that’s fine with us.
Guardian has been family-owned and operated since 2010, and Murrieta is home for us. Our office sits on Jefferson Avenue, just west of the 15, and we’re proud to look after our neighbors’ homes on both sides of the freeway.
“No upselling, showed up, asked me what the problem was, and got to work. Guardian Plumber Jaime was very professional and explained everything that was to be done.” —Daniel A.
The same backup can come from a root clog near the cleanout or a cracked pipe forty feet out, and those are very different jobs. Accurate pricing starts with a look inside the line, and once the camera’s been through, you’ll have a price for each option.
Not with most repair methods. Clearing, hydro jetting, and our two trenchless repairs, perma-lining and pipe bursting, work through small openings. If a section has to be dug up, we’ll show you where before we start.
We work 7 days a week, and same-day service is usually available, so call as soon as sewage starts coming up.
If roots or grease have backed up your line before, it often is. Clearing it on a schedule and having it checked now and then can catch trouble early. It also helps to keep wipes out of the toilet, even ones labeled “flushable,” since they can catch on roots in the pipe.
Whether it’s one gurgling toilet or sewage at the cleanout, Guardian Plumbers, Heating, Air & Electrical can help.
We’ll find the problem, show you exactly where it is, and put a price on every option before work begins. You’ll have what you need to make a confident decision, without any pressure to decide on the spot.
Same-day service is usually available. Call (951) 678-3275 or book online to get on the schedule.
